Booking
When can I book my ceremony?
Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings Team is currently booking ceremonies for those sailings announced by Disney Cruise Line (based on availability). Close-in bookings may be approved up to 3 weeks prior to the sail date. We recommend that you book early because a limited number of events can be accommodated on each sailing.
How do I book my ceremony?
Please call Disney's Fairy Tale Wedding Team at 321-939-4610.
Do all of my guests need to have their cruise reservations booked before I can book my ceremony?
No, only the couple's cruise reservation must be booked in order to book the ceremony.
Is a deposit required to book a ceremony?
Yes, a deposit is required to secure your ceremony, and will be due at the time your Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings package is added to your Disney Cruise Line reservation.
When is the final payment due?
Final payments on ceremony packages will follow the same guidelines as cruise bookings.
What is your cancellation or postponement policy?
A ceremony aboard a Disney Cruise Line ship will be added as a "package" to your overall cruise reservation. Canceling the package, therefore, follows the same cancellation policy as your cruise reservation. To re-book the "package", we must have your new cruise reservation within 24 hours.
Once my ceremony is booked, how do I start planning my Disney Cruise Line ceremony?
A Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings coordinator will contact you within 2 – 3 business days to begin the planning process and send you your ceremony planning guide. This guide includes all of the details needed to create your very own fairy tale aboard the Disney Cruise Line. Your coordinator will work with you throughout the planning process to answers any questions and help you every step along the way.

• Cake and champagne celebration: Approximately 30 minutes
• Photography: Approximately 15 minutes (if you have added an optional Wedding Photography Package)

When do I get to meet my onboard ceremony coordinator?
You will have a scheduled meet & greet with your onboard ceremony coordinator on Embarkation Day in the afternoon once you have checked in at the terminal and boarded the ship. To ensure enough time to check-in and board the ship prior to your scheduled meet & greet, please plan to arrive at the Disney Cruise Line terminal no later than 12:00 PM.
Is the legal ceremony separate from my onboard or Castaway Cay ceremony?
Yes. Since our senior officers are not able to perform legal ceremonies, you will be legally married onboard the ship on Embarkation Day during your scheduled meet & greet with your onboard ceremony coordinator, before your Disney ship leaves its home port. You the couple will be responsible for obtaining and bringing the appropriate marriage license application with you to your meet & greet. Couples are also welcome to take care of the civil ceremony back home prior to sailing. If the couple is already legally married prior to their sailing, the civil ceremony is omitted from the scheduled meet & greet.
May I choose the day and time of my ceremony?
Ceremony dates and times are pre-set and scheduled in accordance with other activities occurring onboard. Your event date, time and location will be confirmed 45 days prior to sailing. Please note that your ceremony date, time and location may change as a result of unforeseen circumstances at the discretion of the ship, such as weather, etc.
If I am having an onboard ceremony, may I choose my location?
You are welcome to request a specific location but your ceremony location will be scheduled based on your group size and venue availability. This will be confirmed by Disney Cruise Line approximately 45 days prior to your sail date.
If my ceremony is scheduled to take place at an outdoor location, what happens if it rains?
Disney's Cruise Line's main concern is safety. In the case of inclement weather, your coordinator will find the best possible location for the wedding and cake and champagne celebration and notify all the appropriate areas to let them know there will be a location change. Your coordinator will utilize an indoor area onboard the ship. No refunds will be issued due to inclement weather.
What if I have more guests than the 10 people included in the ceremony package?
If your party size exceeds the first 10 people included in the ceremony package, a $20 per person additional guest fee will be charged. The additional guest fee will cover any additional cake & champagne or sparkling cider needed so that each guest can enjoy a piece of cake and a glass of beverage for your celebratory toast.
What if I have more than 50 guests?
Please contact us for ceremonies with guest counts above 50. Special requests will be sent to Disney Cruise Line to check for availability.
Who will perform my ceremony?
Disney Cruise Line senior officers perform all onboard ceremonies, and Bahamian administrators (government officials) perform all Castaway Cay ceremonies.
May we bring our own officiant?
Yes. The officiant must also have a cruise reservation booked for your sailing.
May we write our vows?
Yes. Couples have the option of reciting their own vows during the ceremony.
May we include a sand ceremony or unity candle as part of our ceremony?
Due to Disney Cruise Line safety guidelines and U.S. Customs regulations, these items unfortunately cannot be included in your ceremony.
I noticed that photography is not included in the package; may I schedule a photographer for my event?
While photography is not included in the ceremony package, we do offer special Photography Packages for ceremonies at an additional cost. These package options will be provided in your planning kit.
A ceremony photography package must be ordered prior to your sailing in order for a photographer to be present at your ceremony. The photographer is present during your ceremony and the cake & champagne celebration capturing both candid and group shots of your party. Following your cake & champagne celebration, the photographer will take the happy couple around the ship for some additional photos.
May we bring our own photographer?
Yes. The photographer must also have a cruise reservation booked for your sailing.
Does the ship offer videography services?
Unfortunately this is not a service that is currently offered by Disney Cruise Line. You are welcome to bring your own camcorder & tripod if you would like to record your ceremony.
We love Mickey and Minnie. Can they act as Best Man and Maid of Honor at our ceremony?
Disney characters are not available to participate in ceremonies, but based on limited availability, they may be able to make an appearance at the cake and champagne celebration after the ceremony at an additional cost. Please contact your wedding coordinator for further information & pricing.
We are having dinner immediately following the ceremony. Can we have the cake boxed up and brought to dinner that evening?
Yes. We will do a staged cake cutting at your cake and champagne celebration so that your photographer can capture this moment. We are happy to then serve your cake as dessert during your dinner that evening.
May I invite my adult guests to dine with us at Palo?
Yes. We can help you book the Private Room at Palo, based on availability and the capacity requirements of the Private Room. Dinner at Palo is priced at $20 per person billed to your onboard stateroom account. This excludes alcoholic beverage purchases and the complimentary dinner for two for the couple.
I've heard that Palo is for adults only. The children in our wedding party are teenagers and very well behaved. Will they be able to join us for our Palo dinner?
For the enjoyment of all of our adult guests, Palo is reserved for guests age 18 and older. Unfortunately no exceptions will be made to this policy. If you would like to enjoy a family dining experience on the night of your ceremony, you may attend your regular dining rotation that night and schedule your intimate Palo dining experience for two on another evening.
May I customize my bouquet?
The bouquets we offer have been chosen for their lasting power and vibrancy because some events don't take place until the seventh day of the voyage. To ensure that your bouquet is as fresh as possible, we only offer the bouquet choices in your planning guide.
Are there floral options for our bridal party?
Yes, items such as bridesmaids' bouquets, corsages, boutonnieres & flower girl baskets are available to purchase for your bridal party and guests. This information is included in the planning guide.
How do I book hair appointments for the ceremony day?
Your Disney's Fairy Tale Weddings coordinator may assist you with booking hair appointments for your ceremony day. This information is provided in the planning guide. (Please note: The number of hair appointments available may vary due to the salon's operating hours and your ceremony time.)
How should I transport my wedding dress to the ship and what should I do if it gets wrinkled?
The best suggestion we can offer is to keep your dress with you. Some airlines will allow you to hang your dress somewhere inside the cabin of the plane. You can also call ahead to the airline and let them know that you will be bringing a garment bag with you on the airplane. If your dress does get a bit wrinkled, or if you just want to look crisp on your wedding day, basic dress steaming is included in your package (not recommended for gowns made of silk or that include intricate beading detail).
Can I pre-order stateroom gifts for my guests?
Yes. They can be ordered at www.disneycruiseline.com under Planning Center, Gifts & Amenities. Gifts are prepaid shoreside prior to your sailing and are delivered to the guests' staterooms on Embarkation Day.
If I bring my own stateroom gifts for my guests, can they be delivered to my guests' staterooms by a Disney Cruise Line staff member?
Yes. You can arrange delivery of your gifts through your Wedding Coordinator before you sail. Gifts are delivered to your guests' staterooms by your Onboard Ceremony Coordinator on Embarkation Day. A $2.00 per stateroom delivery fee is charged to your onboard stateroom account.
